The engineering section includes diagrams of electrical, water supply and sewerage, ventilation and heating systems, equipment specifications, as well as general explanations of calculations. (Description and placement of installations inside the building) .The engineering section consists of three main sections.

The engineering section will consist of three main sections

  1. Heating and ventilation (HV)
  2. Water supply and sewerage (WSS)
  3. section Electrification

The section “Heating and ventilation (HV)” of the detailed design refers to the engineering part of the design. This section deals with a range of issues related to the life support system. The HV section of the project contains, first of all, data on climatic and meteorological conditions, statistics on outdoor temperatures. This information is used to calculate the necessary and sufficient temperature level in the premises. This section provides a list of heat supply sources with the parameters of the heating and ventilation system. The main purpose of this section is to determine the methods and design options for the decision on the laying of the heat supply system. It also takes into account the need for thermal insulation of pipes, their diameter, and measures to protect the system from aggressive environments. At the same stage, decisions are made on the optimal placement of equipment and pipe routing. Measures to ensure the safety of the system in emergency situations are crucial.

The Water Supply and Sewerage (WSS) section of the project also relates to the engineering part of the project, developing an important life support system. Based on the information about existing or projected water supply sources, protection zones of drinking water sources, it becomes possible to determine the front of work on water supply of the facility. The parameters of water consumption for domestic and economic needs of the facility under construction are calculated, taking into account emergency and catastrophic factors. Assessment of the water quality that will circulate in the water supply system determines the choice of materials for the system's pipes and measures to protect them from aggressive environments. If the water supply will be carried out not from centralized sources, but from an artesian well or well, it is necessary to take into account the equipment for pumping and maintaining pressure in the system. This section also includes measures to ensure water quality characteristics, metering, automation of water supply, and rational use of water. This section of the WC project also provides for the development of a hot water supply system with the need to calculate consumption, rational use, and protection of the system and facility in case of emergency.

Each project includes an electrification plan. A residential building needs external and internal lighting. Also, artificial supply and exhaust ventilation, air conditioning, electric heating, and security systems will not be able to operate without power supply. A well-branched electrical system will allow you to connect all the equipment necessary for a comfortable life. The section includes:

  • an explanatory note;
  • design layout of power grids;
  • design scheme of lighting networks;
  • a system that equalizes potentials;
  • specifications for the equipment to be installed and the materials used in the work;
  • electrical wiring plan;
  • placement of electrical equipment with wiring;
  • layout of electrical leads and electrical sockets;
    specification.
